Pickleball is All the Rage!

Don’t miss out while vacationing this summer

Pickleball’s rise in popularity has been easy to spot across the country. The fast-paced game can be played by people of all ages and fitness levels and is a great way to stay active while having fun. There is also a common recognition that pickleball offers a physical and mental boost that takes less of a toll on the body than other similar recreational activities.

If looking for a fun activity to do with your family and friends while vacationing this summer, pickleball might be just the thing you need. Not only is it a highly social form of exercise, with teams of two to four, there are likely tournaments being scheduled that regularly draw wide, friendly competition wherever you choose to vacation. And while many players know where to go in their area, whether you’re a seasoned player or a newbie, finding the perfect pickleball game is easier than you think when vacationing this summer.

RV resort and campground locations across the country have been getting into the game, and improving, installing, expanding, or converting their sports recreation areas to focus on pickleball.

Resorts like Victoria Palms RV Resort in Donna, TX, converted their tennis court facilities into pickleball courts to account for the demand. Out east, the popular Chesapeake Bay RV Resort in Gloucester, VA added lighting to their pickleball courts so guests can play at night. And at Sherwood Forest RV Resort in Kissimmee, FL they added new courts to satisfy their visiting guests.

Whether you are pulling up in an RV or looking for a unique glamping-style accommodation this summer, here are some additional vacation resorts that have focused their attention to pickleball while also providing amenities and experiences beyond the popular sport.
